F.A.Q.

Where is your studio located?

The studio is located in the historic district of Middletown, CT. However, I meet for consultations and sessions all over the state.

I am getting married outside of Connecticut. Do you travel?

Yes! I travel all over New England, and beyond for select dates.

Do you have backup equipment?

Absolutely. I always bring more gear than I need, just in case something needs to be replaced on the fly. I always have backup cameras and additional lighting on hand.

Do you shoot natural light or use a flash?

Depending on the conditions and desired end result, I use either. Reading the natural light gives dreamy results, but sometimes nature needs a little extra hand. For indoor receptions, night portraits, and heavily overcast days, flash and strobes are essential.

What products do you offer?

I offer a full range of prints, canvases, books and albums. I work with a dedicated professional lab in order to ensure the very highest quality.

When should I book a session or event?

Weddings book as far out as two years, so don't hesitate to contact me about reserving your day. Other events typically book within 6 months - 1 year of the event. Portrait sessions book 1-2 months from the requested time frame.

How long does it take to get my images? Do you edit every single one?

Weddings can take up 4-6 weeks to deliver final galleries, however it is typically sooner. Portrait sessions are complete within 1-2 weeks. I edit every single image for color, tone and alignment. Gentle retouching is included for the bride and groom formals, including blemishes. If you have a special retouching request, let me know!

Do I get print rights for my images?

Yes! All packages include a digital gallery for you to download your final images. They are high resolution and printable. You may use them as you wish, aside from selling them or using them to profit. I will recommend several quality printers to ensure quality and color correctness, but you are free to print as you please.

Do you require a deposit?

25% is due at the time you sign your contract in order to reserve your date.

What should I wear for my session?

We'll discuss your wardrobe options during your consultation. It is important to narrow it down to choices that reflect YOUR personal style or brand. I always suggest that my clients look beyond cookie cutter outfits that don't really reflect their personality. For example- maybe you love all things luxe and your style leans toward cashmere, linen and Louboutin ~or~ maybe you lean toward a country style and would rather don boots and jeans or a cotton dress. From lace to tattoos to bespoke suits and every combination in between, your images should reflect you- not just the latest photography trends.

Will you help me pose?

Yes- however, most of the best shots come from what happens in between the poses. When I'm posing you, I'm framing my shot and working with light. From there, we'll add the magic that brings out real smiles and intimate moments.
